4,000!
I’ve really come full circle with this blog. My first blog mind you. And my first encounter with WordPress, which I use now for many other purposes on the daily.
Kaleidoscope of Environments, which is actually a quote from a Richard Brautigan novel, has reached it’s 4,000 view. I decided to start the blog while attending the first year of the now nationally acclaimed (honored by the National Endowment for the Arts) Word X Word Festival in 2009. I have now worked on projects of this sort that reach that many views in a day, but this blog has sentimental value to me.
I decided to put together a series of photos from this year’s wXw of a killer set at Mission Bar + Tapas with the Andy Wrba Quartet who play at Mission every Monday evening. Sitting in with Wrba, McLovin’s guitarist Jeff Howard and stellar sax machine Noah Weiss.
From the first wXw photos I took on my Crackberry Curve 8900 (yes, I still own it) before I owned even a semi-legitimate camera to these seen below, it has been a wonderful journey in between.
And as the new year strolls right around the corner, I plan to give this outlet a little more attention.
Cheers. Caleb Hiliadis.
